- Backup is built into the Program and creates a compressed file of the database that is saved onto removable media.
- The drive-letter is remembered after the first backup which make Backup fast and foolproof.
- Like the database, the backup is encrypted for security.
- A restore capability of the backed-up database is included.
- A pre-save prior to restore ensures that a viable database cannot be accidentally over-written.

| Contact Manager |

- A Contact Manager is integrated into the Appointments Screen. This performs an Outlook type of function but integrated into TheraManager medical office software.
- Phone numbers are displayed for Clinicians, Patients, Insurers and Contacts, which may be dialed using the built-in Phone-Dialer. (Requires the computer to have a phone modem).
- Easy dialing options.
- There is a Phone Log that records all incoming and outgoing calls with callerID information if available.
- Calls can be timed for billing purposes.
- Opens default email program with recipients name as stored in the database.
- There is a Contacts screen for entering details of your contacts, referral sources, laboratories etc. This information is then used in dropdown lists where appropriate in the program.
- Contact information can be transferred to the TheraManagerPDA, medical PDA software, on your PDA.
- Each record to be set up so that professional contacts can be seen by all users but personal contacts can only be seen by the user that created the record.
- Lookup by phone number is built into this medical software.

- There is a popup note for every patient, clinician, insurer, contact, and corporate entity . This is analagous to pasting one of those ubiquitous "yellow sticky note" to the patients chart.
- There is a special note for each user.
- There is also a separate clinical note for patients, which appears at the Diagnosis and the Medical Records Screens, and that can be used for clinical reminders.
- Internal messages can be sent to other users from the user's note. With automatic refresh set it's arrival at the other user's screen will be flagged with a "red message light".
- A photograph for patient ID can be attached to the Notelet and viewed.
- The notes have an auto-hide feature so that they popup when there is something entered into the notelet.
- A follow-up requirement can be entered into the notelet and there is autobook option to help the booking of these appointments.

- A Task Manager is incorporated into the Appointments Screen for managing tasks in the office.
- Tasks can be created for any patient, clinician, insurer, contact, corporate entity Entity .
- Users can set up their own task lists.
- Tasks can be linked to appointment.
- Tasks can be assigned to another user's task list.
- Phone reminders can be added from the Appointments calendar for the next business day. Using a phone modem then gives automatic phone dialling, or using an associated program provides completely automatic phone reminders.
