TheraManager accurately, and intuitively, helps me manage every aspect of medical records, scheduling, billing and prescription generation with efficiency and clarity. The program is designed to allow users to individualize screens as needed. It allows me to wirelessly print to different printers (i.e. one for documents/bills, one dedicated to prescription writing), while holding the laptop on my lap, letting me face patients and stay engaged while preparing documents for the session. I can easily cut and paste e-mails into the progress notes (i.e. collateral reports from teachers sent via e-mail). I can easily append scanned or e-mailed documents to the patient\'s chart. Backup is done with two mouse-clicks, helping to safeguard the entire bulk of my medical practice on an external drive in about 20 seconds. Tech support staff is fast to respond; support is done via telephone (with staff simultaneously linking to my computer screen to see exactly what I see).
Cons
I can\'t find any complaints to mention.
Overall
This is a great program. I couldn\'t run my practice effectively without it. By increasing my administrative efficiency, the program increases the amount of time I can spend caring for patients. The program allows me to run my busy psychopharmacology practice without hiring any support staff. It has been remarkably cost-effective to purchase and maintain the software.

Pros
Wide variety of features selected by user at reasonable cost. Well geared to day-to-day practice. Scheduling, posting visits, printing statements, sending electronic insurance claims are all fast, easy, user-intuitive. Various summary reports and records of past activity are accessible with a few clicks. Entry of patient and insurance data are also easy. Program is stable. Customer service is highly accessible; they answer the phone in person and can work on your program via the internet if need be. Frequent updates and improvements, easily installed. Data from other programs is transferable to Theramanager. Adaptable to a multi-clinician practice. As a solo clinician, I have no employees and run the program myself quickly and easily. A great time-saver!
Cons
Inevitably, there\'s a learning curve and some routines aren\'t quite as intuitive as the rest -- but the documentation is readily backed up by accessible, clear, and pleasant phone support.
Overall
I have been very happy with this program and actually find it fun to use. Being in late career I haven\'t tried the electronic record or electronic prescribing modules, but if I were in early or mid-career I certainly would obtain them, based on the quality of the core product.

"I have used electronic billing from the beginning of using TheraManager and absolutely love it. I use FreeClaims.com so there is ZERO cost unless you have them file paper claims for those MCO's who don't accept electronic filing. They charge $0.47 a claim for paper claims which I think is a bargain since they print it, stuff it, and pay the postage. The beauty of FreeClaims is that they notify you immediately of any "dirty" claims so only clean claims go to the MCO's. Using them has cut my turnaround from 6-8 weeks to 2-3 weeks.
It is breeze to set up. Just go to their site, sign up, get an account number, upload some dummy claims to assure all is working okay and you are in business. You then just check "electronic" on your Organ/Plans in TheraManager and the claims "print" to a file ready for uploading. My billing now takes about 5 minutes a week!. I cannot imagine doing it any other way."

"After years of working in doctors? billing offices I can safely say that I have worked and suffered from most every kind of billing program out there. The choices were especially dismal until TheraManager came along! It?s as if I had suddenly become able to program computers and wrote the program of my dreams!
The whole thing is very well thought out. Almost every little detail of the billing process has been considered. And the few insignificant things that were not already in the program have been added upon request without any fuss or delay.
We received the program and started using it immediately, transferring records from our old software with ease. There was no instruction required and any questions we had were answered immediately.
This software is very easy to understand. It is visually arranged to resemble your paper records and ledgers. I especially love the function where you can zoom in on a certain time period of the record with the ?Binocular Button?. All on one screen, no report printing required! Another favorite feature is the insurance payment posting. It?s quick and efficient. It took us a little time to get used to posting from the appointment schedule but this has proven to be an invaluable tool. In the end, doing it that way saves an enormous amount of time and we?re able to catch unauthorized visits before the client comes in the door. Printing insurance bills and client statements is simple and quick. The program is never slow when having to compile a lot of data for reports, bills, etc. We also love the feature that lets you enter notes, etc. right into the record.
It's almost never necessary to call support, and installing upgrades is painless.
There is not one negative thing about this program. I would highly recommend it for any type of medical, dental or mental health billing for providers as well as billing services.
I have personally worked with only one other program, which had comparable features but it was not programmed for Windows and cost over $3000 for a single application.
The price is another one of TheraManager?s most attractive features.

"We have been using TheraManager since 2000. We have never had one single problem with the program or the tech support. I cannot rave enough about this program or the staff that works at TheraManager. Prior to TheraManager we had used Therapist Helper and had one problem after another with the program and with the tech support. When we switched we had not been able to bill anything for months. TheraManager made the transfer as easy as possible. The program is very easy to use, We have several people who do not really know computers and they learned the program quickly and have had no problems. I would not change to any other program. Also we have had no problems with updating the program.
TheraManager meets all the requirements for a large or small practice at an affordable price. TheraManager includes everything and allows us to have choices. Selecting TheraManager is the best decision we could have made" |

"I am a previous dissatisfied user of PM2 which was upgraded to PM2W which became a real nightmare and basically a program that was no longer user friendly. To put it bluntly the program sucked and the transition to the Windows version was even worse. The technical support became non responsive and not of value when contact was made. We were never able to manage the transition as well as not having HIPAA compliance validated. nor the ability to get confirmation for electronic claims. There were too many problems to repeat. I was really shocked at the service as the program and support were good at the beginning as we were early users. I am glad to be out of that system and to be a very satisfied user of TheraManager. Your program is complex and capable of handling my group practice. Your response to technical support is rapid and corrective without making us appear as though it is a deficit in our knowledge. I look forward to continuing a wonderful satisfying relationship with you. |

Thank you (as always) for your exceedingly prompt response. I wanted to take a minute to thank you all for your patience with me.
From the first minute I discovered your website, I suspected that TheraManager was going to be the solution, that I had been seeking as relief from the woes of using Therapist Helper for about a dozen years. I always had difficulty getting Therapist Helper to do things that I thought a good accounting program should be doing. The fact that I always had to do those processes manually for every appointment, and THEN discovering that, depending on which screen I might be looking at--the amounts due could wildly vary, always kept me scared and anxious. I hated and loathed having to do my billing and posting--avoiding it until I could face tackling it. I would spend hours checking and correcting accounts to be certain that what I was sending out was accurate.
I have also spent hours and hundreds of dollars with Therapist Helper Tech Support trying to get this resolved. As a result, I have been ASTONISHED with the immediate and serious way that you all respond to my questions and concerns. Even more, the day I mentioned something to you on the phone, and an hour or so later, got a message that I should check the download page for a fix, I was in total disbelief!
I am confident that any time I need to, I can phone or email and ask and even more--that you will look seriously at my questions and adjust things when that seems to be a good idea. I NEVER remember Therapist Helper ever doing anything like the "instant response" that you do.
I'm SO pleased with the wonderful way that TheraManager handles the recording of patient information, and keeps it straight for me. I have had a difficult time believing and accepting that it is as easy as it is. I have often discovered that I have been trying to complicate doing things, because I expected (from long experience) that it had to be that way.
Thank you, thank you, thank you--for all your cleverness and savvy in creating TheraManager in the first place, and thank you even MORE for being available in such a responsive way to help me learn to use it. I have little or no knowledge of accounting or billing and even LESS knowledge of computers. I was just on the brink of considering paying to have my billing done when I discovered TheraManager. My adult son said it best--if you could convince me about how good/easy this program is, you could probably convince anybody.
